Style Profile: Leigh Lezark

There are a lot of well dressed women out there but the ones we regularly turn to for style inspiration become repetitive all too readily. On the flip side there are those really adventurous boundary pushing types, that let’s face it, not many of us are ready to dress like! So who do we turn to for that innovative sartorial push? Leigh Lezark. That is who.

1 third of the DJ trio, The Misshapes, Lezark has helped orchestrate the sound behind fashion shows for Chanel to L.A.M.B. to House of Holland as well as gracing the pages of Vogue, V and Vanity Fair to name but a few. It is safe to say that this raven haired beauty has well and truly got her Dior clad foot through the fashion door. This only helps prove why her refreshing approach to style should be noticed.

Whether she is DJing or attending an event as a guest the outfit is always well composed, sleek and memorable. An all-black look might be broken up with a dash of hot pink (as worn to a Dior show) or head to toe colour might be on the cards (as worn to a Sonia Rykiel show). Whatever her choice is, you can bet your bottom dollar she isn’t worried about anyone else wearing the same look. And therein lays the beauty of her styling. It isn’t formulaic. It isn’t trend specific. Leigh Lezark is a woman who understands her personal style but isn’t restricted by it. Albeit there are some seriously startling colours in her wardrobe and silhouettes that are not for the faint hearted, her outfits are not over the top. Obtaining an understanding of what suites you, what you like and what your look is means you have the basis to experiment wildly with what you wear.

To sum up Leigh Lezark’s look in two designers Chanel and Balmain (with a dash of Isabel Marant) best describe her. The most valuable inspiration to take from Lezark’s style profile is to take charge of your own fashion. Don’t blindly follow trends and pave your own (brightly coloured) way to your sartorial nirvana.
