Golden Globes Best Dressed 2013

Anne Hathaway is wearing a divine white Chanel gown. With the successes she has reaped this past season for her roles in both Batman and Les Miserables she is the woman of the moment. It is therefore only right that she wears something elegant, simple and Hollywood royalty worthy. It is only right that she wears Chanel. Her pale complexion and dark hair make for a stunning combination with this white dress.

Emily Blunt keeps in keeping with the night by wearing gold in a cutaway Michael Kors dress. The texture and colour make this piece pop and adds that magic feeling that comes with this annual event. The shape of the dress is glamorous and sophisticated but the cutaways make it modern and on trend.

Daniel Craig wears Tom Ford while his English rose, Rachel Weiz, wears Louis Vuitton. Daniel looks movie star cool with his shades but in keeping with the old school vibe this sheer polka dot ensemble evokes. I'm not totally sold on the short length of the opaque mini dress but as a pair these looks work well together.

Jessica Alba has the benefit of exceptional genes on her side so her styling team really have an easy time of it with this actress. The coral colour of this Oscar de la Renta dress could be criticised for being a bit summery but its an excellent choice for her complexion. The side parting, diamonds and ruffled train say screen siren to me and she's working it fabulously.

Jennifer Lawrence is set to be the new face of Dior, replacing Mila Kunis. Which would explain why she has been nothing but the french fashion house lately. And this was no exception. This darker coral shade works better for the time of year. I particularly like her hair off her face here, letting the dramatic strapless neckline shine. However something about the fit on the bust makes me nervous.

Kate Hudson looks impeccably cool in Alexander McQueen here. Black can be boring but with this keyhole neckline, gold choker embellishment and vintage inspired belt this is  badass black not boring black.  With such drama Kate did well to keep her hair simple and relaxed.

Kerry Washington looks nothing less than a goddess in this embellished sheer Miu Miu gown. The shoe is modern, the detailing is vintage inspired and the result is perfection. Potential winner for the best dressed crown here. Truly stunning.

Ooh is that an Angelina leg there, Rosie? Careful! Our very own Victoria Secret model wears a dress by Saint Laurent which is keeping with the 70s style she so often covets.

The petite reality star come fashion designer looked exceptional in a vibrant blue Naeem Khan full sleeved gown. The colour and embellishment is so eye catching it is appropriate that there is no crazy flesh flashes going on. The starlet wore eye make up in a matching blue hue to the dress. The old school feel of her hair style and the tasselling on her clutch along with this vintage inspired gown made for an absolute vision.

Taylor Swift never looks less than immaculate. This deep berry Donna Karan fishtail gown suits her classic style and the young singer looks very  demure. She is sometimes criticised for dressing older than her years which may be true here however some of her peers could only dream of looking so composed and elegant.

And the winner of best supporting actress is HanJanRan's winner of the best dressed female at this year's Golden Globes. Anne Hathaway's poise and grace and her white gown will never date and she looks utterly beautiful.
