How I would wear: Neon

There are a few really wearable trends emerging not only from the runways but on the street too. One that I'm sure you haven't been able to avoid is Neon. Admittedly it is  involves borderline crass colour palettes, but worn in the right way it can prove a modern and chic trend that will pop in this white weather. Here I have (with the help of photoshop and some very amateur A level photography skills) shown how I would wear the trend...
Unfortunately the only thing I can afford on the net-a-porter website is my Marc by Marc Jacobs phone case. A girl can wish, it makes me work harder anyway.

Introducing my Designer Doll. Here I am playing dress up in some exquisite pieces. This outfit is a fun way to embrace the trend while still looking elegant. By choosing just one hue from the array of highlighter colours its keeps the look workplace appropriate. The colours are exciting enough to carry you through to wine o'clock too.

Blazer: Antonio Berardi – Neon stretch-crepe blazer £937
Skirt: Dion Lee – printed asymmetric silk-faille skirt £635
T-shirt: Stella McCartney – embellished cotton blend jersey top £500
Bag: Jimmy Choo – Rebel textured-leather shoulder bag £550
Shoes: Nicholas Kirkwood – Printed elaphe and mirrored-leather pumps £550
Earrings: Tom Binns – Faux Real Swarovski crystal and faux pearl safety pin earrings £245
All available at

This look has a cooler vibe, as you would expect when it is mainly made up of Topshop. This saturation of Philip Green's produce was unintentional but I found that Topshop is the best place on the highstreet to do this look with an urban edge. Another prominent trend and a chic colour to take you through to Spring is white. So I have used a white base to let the splash of Neon shine bright. The zips on the skirt and velcro sandals give a futuristic twist to this fresh style.

Skirt: Topshop – White Zip Wrap A-line skirt £32
Shirt: Reiss – Annabel Raglan sleeve shirt £79
Jumper: Topshop – Knitted Textured Stitch Crop £30
Shoes: Topshop – Rover Two Part Velcro Sandals £55
Skirt, jumper and shoes available at and white shirt available at

There you have two different interpretations of a trend that I predict will rule right into the summer months, working with suntans in abundance.
