Kate Moss for i-D shot by Daniele & Iango

This hippie haired Kate shot for i-D by Daniele & Iango for the pre-spring issue feels nostalgic for more reasons than the styling. Ms Moss, who we all adore, looks young, fresh and akin to the girl we fell in love with so many moons ago. Stripped back only flower adorned tresses to hide behind her iconic beauty shines through. The looks are eastern inspired with designs from Prada, Maison Martin Margiela, Dries van Noten, Saint Laurent and Dior which feels very current yet whimsical. The gentle dusty pink colour of the flowers, backdrops and bows brings out extraordinary hues in her eyes. Despite the pretty colours my favourite picture is actually one of the black and white ones. The seventh picture with her hair loosely plaited down one side is stunning. The Balenciaga ruffle skirt is worth noting. You're not going to be able to escape replicas on the high street soon. Notice the penultimate shot has a quote from Karl Largerfield himself - "We will never be a second Kate Moss so we better stay with the one we have." I agree. And I much prefer images worthy of the great Mossy like these than particularly average Mango campaigns.
