London Boutiques and Heeled Ankle Boots by Sam Edelman

The autumnal leaves have fallen and, hallelujah, we can delve into the forgotten depths of our wardrobes and pull out those more intense pieces that aren’t appropriate for softer summer months. So bring on darker hues, sultry studs and a bit more of a bad ass edge. Admittedly it isn’t properly winter yet so we can use transitional pieces for the time being.

A great way to add an autumn/winter 2013 edge to a number of looks is with a pair of textured heeled ankle boots. This is the more dramatic sister to the more slouchy ankle boots you’ve already been wearing with summer dresses and skinny jeans. Ashley Madekwe teamed hers with a playsuit and leather jacket that with an added pair of tights would work wonderfully for a casual evening look. has a collection of ankle boots to die for. My favourite two are these Sam Edelman boots. The added texture and pointed shape is particularly on trend for this winter. A little buckle and some studs can give an extra edge to the simplest of outfits. Check out Rosie Huntington-Whitely in an easy ensemble of jeans and a soft cardigan that is given a fashion forward step with these of the moment heeled ankle boots.

Are these boots not incredible? Work the deep red pair (called Mila) with jeans and beige/camel knitwear for day or with a monochrome evening look and matching lipstick. For the black the embellishment is a bit more full on and probably better suited for evening looks only. I would wear these either with a black and silver mini dress and black tights or perhaps leather skinny trousers and a blazer.

Poppy Delevingne clearly loves this style; see her here spicing up her outfit with red spikey boots and in the first picture with a matching red bag. There is much more than just my favourite Sam Edelman boots: London-Boutiques have an enormous array of the most on trend designers as well as less well known but equally desirable names. The list is incredibly extensive.
